Moderators - Can we actually DELETE the spamming posts and not just lock them?

IMHO, they are offensive, insidious and just take up server space (albeit a tiny amount).

I mean, look at them all! Yecch.

I just think the threads ought to be deleted - not just the links taken out and moved here. That takes work!

Kill the threads and ban any member spamming like that. Just look at this page filling up with total crap!!!

Soon, we'll have a fellow wanting to give me 35 billion dollars.

I think these posts should be (edited and) closed and left there for at least for a day before they are deleted to let others know that this type of posts won't be tolerated. Or you can have a little fun before you delete the post, like here:
