It's been almost a week since someone has had a drink in this thread. C'mon folks, if the footballers (err ... soccer fans) can post, we alcoholix can too!
Had a lovely Redbank Sally's Paddock 2000 last night. This is a BIG RED blend from downunda (mainly cabsav and shiraz). If folks overseas can get their hands on some, I'd highly recommend it. Definitely well over 95/100, perhaps more. Moderately priced (at least here). Will age for about another 15 years, at least!

as it seems very difficult to get of hold of the same wine in europe, australia, the united states or some asian country i dont dare proposing the wine of the month

mortlach 16yrs
with rising temperatures here in germany i enjoy white wines these days

well, first of all i must confess i like the speyside malts very much ^_~
the nose will be smoky (like so often) and a bit like sherry and peat
this one has a smooth medium to full body and smoky, peaty, fruity palate
the finish will be dry and contrary to most islays without any hint of tar *g*Comment

no smoke or even tar notes
