    Referrals

    Does this board use referrals? I clicked on What are referrals in the faq and nothing came up. If there is referrals used here what is the code to use in the link?

    Thanks

    I didn't even know there was a referral system in the forum, but I checked and there is. It's turned off now, but I can turn it on, but I'm not sure what good that will do since there are no prizes for referrals

        @Admin - Prizes, I don't need no stinkin' prizes

        I just like to keep track that's all . I don't know if it's a coincidence but the membership jumped a bit since I put my sig up. Probaby, just a coincidence but ah who knows and I'm just curious. If it don't burden the forurm maybe turn it on

        Edit - Cynthia - sorry I left this out....a referal is when you refer someone to go somewhere. Like when your regular doctor refers you to a specialist. In a forum it would be, I'm signing up because "so and so" sent me.

          Thanks found the FAQ on the vBulletin page.

          What are referrals?
          The administrator may have enabled referrals, which allows you to be credited for any new users you invite to the forum.

          You gain referrals by promoting vBulletin Community Forum using your unique referral link. The link you should use as your referral link is this:

          Each time someone follows this link to vBulletin Community Forum and registers as a new member, your referral count will be incremented by one. The number of referrals you have can be viewed in your profile.

          Your administrator will have more information on any prizes or rewards that may be given out for referrals. Please be courteous when promoting vBulletin Community Forum by not spamming other web sites with your referral link just to gain referrals.

              If not because of that, what else could it possibly be? I can't think of any other possible explanation ;>}

                @cynthia - how do you get to the vb page? I used the FAQ and seen referals and hit the link and nothing happened. The link you posted took me right back here.

                @setarip - I'm just curious that's all at 6:32PM yesterday there were 33,702 users. I finally got my sig to work at 5:42PM, I was leaving the url thingies off at the beginning and the end.I couldn't find the FAQ cause 99.9 % of the board is user friendly at 800X600 and I did not see it (except for the little faq on the login page. I finally seen it by scrolling over to the right and then seen register, FAQ rules etc. . Give it try at 800x600 and see what I mean.

                          There was a problem with FAQ page 2, and it's been fixed now:

                          Referrals have been turned on as well. If this thing becomes popular, I might have a monthly prize or something for the top referrer.

                              I would win hands down. (or up for that matter.)
