20 years? For this? Yet O.J. and Robert Blake are free?

Interesting thread revival. Schapelle got her sentence reduced to 15 years. But an Aussie model who popped a couple of Ecstasy tabs in Bali got 3 months.
And a Sydney guy is about to be executed in Singapore for heroin trafficing.
15 years? that's completely ridiculous. murderers can get out in a couple of years in N.A. (believe me, i know)

Just saw this post and an old roommate of mine was convicted of "muling" Ecstasy out of Amsterdam to the states.
He was arrested 3 years after his involvment and was living with me when the DEA, Local, and Customs officers kicked in the door and took him away. 14 officers in all and that was the scariest thing I've ever been apart of. I had no idea that he had ever been apart of a drug ring. He is currently serving a reduced(36 months from 18 years) sentence in PA (min security Fed prison for non-violent offenders) and that sound alittle different than the death sentence they give over there. These guys would fly into a off radar airport (Portugal, Italy) and railing it upto the exchange. they would come back to the states with upto 40000 pills and recieve 10k for there troubles. In retrospect I'm sure that he would give that money back for his freedom. The reason they got him years after he quit was 3 other members of the group were arrested in italy and spent 18 months in a Italian prison, then they rolled on all the members of the group. The arrest total was 9 ppl and one of them was a Cop in NJ in the Narco devision(irony). The experience was eye opening for me, seeing guys with shot guns in your living room can do that, and I never really forgave my old roommate for involving me in a such a humbling experience(I used a bathroom with an officer making sure I didn't flush stuff or whatever). all I took from that moment is "JUST SAY NO" ppl. this kind of moment can make you religious.
