That was seven months ago Anonymez, there are a lot of new members since then and maybe some have moved.
Is there a Forum Rule against NEW members having some fun.. and besides that old thread didn't go to far, maybe this one will do better, now that more people have discovered this great thing called "Google Earth"

Google Earth is no good for my town either, there is a similar type of thing that I can find my town on but I cant remember what it's called!!

Google Earth has another competitor. It's called Virtual Earth. Try looking at New York in Birds Eye view.

There is no downloading or installing as it works as a website.

I would try it in IE first though. It uses a lot of memory in Firefox (currently 800MB).

Last time I looked, Google Earth was still a blur where I lived. Hadn't got out to my place yet.

Here is another to try. It uses Flash tehnology and images from both Google Earth and Live. It is possible to switch between the two.

Here is a shot of the city where I live, this pictures is very old and at that time my house was not there so I marked on the map where I live. With a red mark. That body of water is the Fox River.

I was disappointed when the house I grew up in wasn't able t be seen. It was over zoomed. Some areas have this problem. My current house was fine. Nice program!

The real new shots although it is a bit off the vacant lots are now new homes. So now you know what Middle earth looks like!

I love these sites...... could waste hours when I am supposed to be working !! lol The windows live one is best for me as it has actual close up shots of our road which beats GoogleEarth hands down !
