Here is your "Answer" -

setarip, the top poster on this forum, has retired from this forum and will no longer be posting here. There are no particular reasons for this, but perhaps it was just the right time to part ways and seek new challenges, after so many years of service to this forum. While it is sad to be losing a long time member like setarip, but instead of thinking about the great loss to this forum, I think it would be better to pay a little tribute to the member with nearly 25000 posts.

setarip was one of the first regular member of this forum, way back in 2001. He has been a keen contributor to the forum, and has regularly provided valuable feedback and has done all he can to try and ensure this forum's standards. He has helped so many people with so many problems, it's hard to imagine how much work he has put into this forum.

I suspect many members will miss setarip's presence on the forum, and the forum itself would definitely miss his contributions. So here's to setarip, may he enjoy the free time he has now earned for himself, and succeed at whatever challenges that now face him.

There aren't any particular reasons for setarip's leaving, but it felt like the right time I suppose. I personally think that the forum is moving in a direction that perhaps he doesn't share anymore (like the new forums being setup, new moderators being appointed, and new types of members coming in), but that's just me.

Anyway, being top poster in a forum (especially by so many posts) is not easy - it's lonely at the top.

Anyway, instead of pondering why he has left, perhaps it's just best to post your tributes, but please, leave any negative comments to yourself - there is no need for that anymore.

It was felt that a clean break from the forum was the best, hence the reason why I created the retired account for setarip. Quite a few forums have these types of accounts, for members that no longer wish to post on the forum or stopped posting some time ago.

@admin i have nothin negative to say about setarip--he was a good sport.
the only thing i was wondering is where, or to whom it was mentioned that he WOULD be leaving--just came as a suprise...was it by pm or something?

I have nothing negative to say either! I hope he can see the recent posts, if he can not reply maybe he can't view either If this forum does not have a Hall Of Fame they ought to start one, he has almost 10% of the total posts and was only 26 away from an even 25,000 with 24,974 of the total 271,708 to date.
