I hate getting neg points in a opinion thread, I can see if I tell a new member to format his hard drive but why red me for saying i think gas is too pricy?

I've gotten a few neg rep's for Off topic comments about movies etc. which is fine and expected. But I got this one the other day;

I know he didn't think I left that message. I think it's a wierd thing to say about someone when giving a red rep. he was obiously a victim of someone who has discovered the rep icon and is using it for the wrong reasons.Tae is da man.

Someone warned once that this has the chance to get outa hand and promote fights.

All members should be aware of what they are doing, especially as reputations increase and your point giving or taking power increases.

I'm pretty sure it was admin that posted about that happening somewhere else.
The whole reputation thing should be taken with a grain of salt and should be fun watching what happens. I forget who it was but a user with 3 posts was in the top five or so rememeber. But as everyone knows whover gives greenies most of the time leaves their name, but for the - ones it is the norm to not announce who gave them. Maybe admin can post the top 10 green and red givers without linking to the posts they relate too. Now that would be fun!
