ASCII codes

Typing DVD - and + seems so cumbersome, then I remembered an 'old school' trick that we used back in the old BBS days, the wonderful ASCII codes.

Now all I need to remember is Alt 0177 and I can write DVD±R

Think the ones i use most is the Alt 064 and Alt 035

Why would you need them cynthia? What's wrong with Shift-2 and Shift-3?

True, shift 2 gives me this: "

I need to use the Alt Gr button to get the @ character. It's easier just to write the ascii code... (I'm to old to learn new things... )

Too bad they couldn't add a few more keys for the standard symbols, that must get annoying to have to remember the alt codes

Too bad you can't throw away the 'Windows' key and put the ALT GR there
