How often do you go to the Movies?

I know there is a thread on this already, but since then we have had a lot of new members here, and movies, if anything, have become worse (save for a small handful of films in the past few months)

note: a home theatre system (or a friend's home theatre system) does not count!

me, i go once about every 2-3 months, the last film i saw was "flight plan". its a liitle soon than usual, but i'll be going again when king kong is released

About 7 times in the last four years. Before then around just once a year. I find it too expensive and rather wait for the DVD. I also rather get the DVD for a DTS audio track which my local cinemas do not have.

The last films I saw was the three LOTR, Spiderman 1 and 2, Minority Report and X2.

There is also too much rubbish on the cinemas.

i generally wait for dvd release also, but for some movies i don't want to wait like walk the line, kong, narnia. these will look better on big screen that my 1980 daewoo. theatres food is a rip off, tickets are a rip off, people yak, kick your seats, can't pause the movie if you have to do # 2 (or #1). this is just the beginning of theatre woes to me.

Never - I don't bother given the investment I've made in the home cinema.

I go the the theaters frequently, which is why my DVD collection is rather small (around 100-150 DVDs), the last movie I saw was Chicken Little, and before that, Batman Begins.

i too don't go too often, as i have a nice setup at home, but i agree with LT, sometimes i don't want to wait. i know for sure kong's mighty roar is made to bee seen at the movies

as for people kicking your seat, talking, etc. i don't know where you guys go to see movies, that very very very rarely happens when i go, and that time, the movie absolutely sucked (i knew i shouldn't have seen dumb & dumber 2)

i usually go a week or two after movies have been released, less people = better experience

i'm not kidding. don't misunderstand, it's not allowed but people try it. they get away with it too most of the time, except marijuana and cig smoke usually get those people thrown out.
