I even got my 12yo son a basic 5.1 system for his bd. But, drf, you've got what you got. But "who cares"? Lotsa people.

That is just the same as older movies that I want to be released onto dvd. I don't see why it takes so long for older shows to come out, when newer ones are released in months.

i've got the good 5.1 in my main setup in the lounge & a crappier (PC) one in my room. 5.1 matters a lot if you spent money on the equipment

i doubt that it's ever been illegal to record/tape any tv progs (not really sure about cable though) here down-under. the only rule that i'm aware of is that we're suppose record tham with the ads.

stand-alone dvd recorders - i'm glad they were released. sadly, some don't provide the standards that most of us look for, but for the material that's not on dvd & you already own it on vhs, & not to mention those home vid collections that have gathered over the decades, they're great. well, at least the one i own is

They need wireless speakers for Home threatre systems, or do they have it already? lol

I am thinking about buying myself some surround speakers for my PC, but since my TV is not actually "mine", more of my whole family, I am not gonna upgrade it. Anyone have any cheap speaker suggestions? (Like under $100 - I don't need really expensive stuff)
