I was just going over an old standard backup program for all cd's,
of course game ones are a different story.

"Not sure why you need to back up to the HD as an MP3... "

In cases of copy protection kicks in, you can't copy on the fly.
That's when copying into the HD then back to Audio Cd helps and also as Jeo said you can NORMALISE and decrease the Pause between tracks.

On another note: I like soft rock to gentle metal, (C)rap not my taste too I still don't know why they call it music.

Uufta, have you tried just clicking "copy CD"?

@petsbug, you can just use Nero and uncheck On the Fly... don't need to rip as an mp3.

            Hi DRF:

Yep' I use Nero, and Sonic and Itunes for some things, But there have been times when I have run into problems, like CD's with video streams in them and other things.
Also, prepare yourself for all kinds of new protections on music CD's, because the smoke has cleared from Sony's big BOO-BOO.

You really love that bouncy face, don't you!

As long as there is CloneCD I will never worry about that.

Personally, I just rip the CD to my HD using WMP and a lossless WMA codec, savs me a lot of space compared to just copying the CD wholly.
