very rarely, and usually not in public -- yes, that's quite strange for people my age. then again, its also strange at my age to be placed in charge of a moderately successful retail store, even if it was sheer dumb luck just feels like a lot of responsibility

yes i did, but only through persuasion of the erm.. monetary kind.

i made lotsa calls, kept getting passed to different parts of the corporation (i'm just one store out of hundreds). the store supervisor left, the regional manger (who is the person i would usually talk to if there was a problem) had left too.

so i went about my business for a couple of days, browsing the store's 256kbps adsl. turns out i went 600% of the limit , cost them a pretty penny. i was contacted by a person who could help me. he only contacted me because he saw the adsl bill!. he wasn't very happy. but they were impressed by steady sales as well as dedication, so now all is in order and i've become 'store supervisor'

hehe guess i gotta use my own dialup account till the end of the month-- they'll soon see a slight increase in our phone bill they can't dock my pay and they know it; without me, the store closes down for a couple of weeks till they can find someone with experience
