I just noticed that chewy's scan ends at 4235MB. I have no problems with my cmc's to the edges that I got for 16 cents a disc. I have a feeling it's not worth it.

Heres the same disk burned with the hp at 8x ,and scaned with the nec3550.Its a iso total size 2.91 gb the other scan i posted with the nec was a video file size 4.35

Is there a special setting in order to check DL through Nero in re: to disc quality.

I bought two packs of 50 spindle +r Playo for next to nothing back around Thanksgiving and haven't had any bad burns yet. I've used all but about 5 of one pack.I have burnt them all slowly.... so far so good. Went to Staples for the recent sale and they were out by Mon. a.m. They ordered them for me with free shipping to my house because they were out of stockin store. Didn't know they did that! For the price I'll give them another whirl.

Office Max has Verbatim 50 spindle for $14.99 throughthe 25th I believe.

What target size do you use for your DVD's? Also what speed? I went today, but they were sold out. They said they should have more in tomorrow. I'll ask about shipping if they don't. Thanks for the tip.

I just a couple of weeks ago changed to 4364 target size. I had been using the automatic setting for the dvd5 as I didn't know it could be changed until I read someones advice on this forum to change it. I backed up lots of the playos at the default size before. I learn sooo much reading the threads on this forum. Lot's of good advice. Thanks all!

I usually burn at 4x (5.540 kb/s). It takes a while but I have pretty good luck with the finished disc.

I've been to Staples before when they were out of sale items and no one has ever told me you could get free shipping when they are out of sale items. I must have gotten lucky and got a nice employee this time!!

I wonder if different staples stores have different policies? You wouldn't think so! I didn't even ask. Someone asked if they could help me and I asked where the playo dvds that were on sale were at. He told me they were out but he could order them on line for me. I asked him if he meant home delivery and he said yes. Of course I asked if there was shipping and he told me since they were out in the store there would be no shipping costs.

Maybe it has to be within so many days of when the sale started. I was there Monday, the day after the sale started.

Sorry it didn't work out for you. I'd be tempted to call the store manager and ask what their policies are on sale items. On the other hand maybe I just got lucky and the guy wasn't supposed to do it.
