Ever since McAfee turned my old computer to sludge, I've been a Norton user. Also use AVG.

I couldnt agree with that more. About three years ago some people were telling me that McAfee was the best and it kept crashing my system and when I went to uninstall it I couldnt. I called the 800 # for McAfee and found that you need to buy thier software to get rid of it completely, they want like $85.00. I told them to kiss my A_ _ ! I wipped my hard drive clean and installed windows all over again.


I like norton but I dont always have running it does take up a lot of memory.

since I have been using Norton internet security I have not had a problem with spy ware either.

Thats not good But I have had good luck with McAfee antvirus/Firewall it has done a great job

Avast Home Edition for me. Norton and AVG let in to many viruses for me.

Yes, noticed Avast found some files that AVG never reported on.

Norton also doesnt uninstall completely, im not sure if they charge for there tool to complety remove there product or not but they have one. I have it on file .

I use NIS 2006. Even back in the days of the BBS I used AV software. It's just plain stupid not to run some kind of AV protection.

You may be right on that , at least it doesnt interfear with other programs I run or crash out my system.

it's gotta be Norton all the way. Definatly the best in my eyes, not that I've tried alot but I have tried a few and this is the most reliable by a mile.
