I say never buy NEW, Buy one that is 2 years old. Still very new but 1/2 the price and dont buy from a dealer look in the papers from a private seller.
I saved about 16 grand on my truck that way.

i couldnt find a used one for under 18K and they all had atleast 30K on them so buying new was just more practical for me atleast. no offense or anything. but i would never buy a used car. not after how i drove my 1500... now some poor person is getting my beat-up p.o.s. machine for 15K. and i have too much riding on the truck to take a chance of having to put a new tranny ect into it.. i have to plow i have to haul around my trailer, dump runs, mulch and everything under the sun...so...

not every one beats their truck mine was well taken care of and has ben a great truck and still is not for over 6 years. With the price I got mine for I only needed to take out a $3,000 loan the rest I paid in cash.

Dealer lots sold me truck new, loaded for about $26,000 - $30,000
I paid $12,700 something to think about.

P.S. I am not sure where you live but in WI now there are so many people out of jobs there are tons are cars and truck CHEAP , people are selling just to pay rent to servive now.

With no cash at hand that does make a difference. I have 10 grand saved when I bought my truck.

Just pray for a few good snow storms. I know a few people that have made big $$ plowing but that only works out when it snows hard and doent melt right away. LOL

A plow is not a bad investment though.

4 years ago I could have made a killing if I had a plow for my truck.

                                30 Storms X 20 people X $35 each. = 21000

                                8 Storms X 20 people X $35 ea. = 5600

i need atleast 8 storms to make a profit... i mean i wont mind 30 but ill take 10 ! so lets start hoping now! and maybe itll come true.
