What I thought about a movie.....

I was puzzled by the deleted scenes from 'Fun with Dick and Jane'. I liked the movie but it wasn't as funny as some of Jim Carey's other films and to me some of the funnier parts of the movie were in the 'deleted scenes' extas.
Like the aerobics hyjinx where everyone was accidently hitting one another and the old security guard from the toy store. I laughed more at those clips than thru-out the whole movie!??!?

I still thought it was a good movie and a good story, but decided that the movie needed those scenes inserted back in and 'remixed' 'Fun with Dick and Jane' using Shrink, then VOBEdit & IFOEdit.
So I now have a custom back-up to the way I wanted it.

Just wondered if others felt that way about the deleted scenes?

fun with dick and jane was a huge letdown. i expected better of jim carrey, this was almost as bad as cable guy imo. and what was up with the swollen face thing? that was just awful and disturbing, rather than funny!

I never cared for anything that Jim Carey was in except Majestyk. I find his type of humor irritating and childish, but that's just me because so many others like him.
Blessed are they who expect nothing, for they shall not be disappointed!

I personally have been a fan of Jim Carey since his bits on 'In Living Color'. He just makes me laugh, I don't exactly know why but he just does. Haven't liked ALL of his movies but have liked some of his so-called dramas like The Majestic.

Have to agree with bill, Carey was only half decent in eternal sunshine of the spotless mind and that was his best performance by a looooooooooooooooooooong way!!

He seemed to have more success with his zany comedies like Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber, The Mask, Liar Liar but have had a few offbeat ones that didn't do as well like The Truman Show, The Cable Guy, and Man on the Moon.

I'll still watch his movies as long as he doesn't start making REALLY strange movies like Bill Murray has been.

I agree with MikeyBK his zany comedies were great and his Fire Marshall Bill character on In Living Color was hilarious who knows maybe his next film "The Number 23" will do better. He is also in talks to play Robert Ripley in Believe It or Not

If you want to watch an eye-opener....

I just watched this movie at a friend's house the other night. Very powerful!

This movie may only be available in Canada and the USA.

This docu-drama was made for TV. It is three hours in length and has very intense interwoven stories about human trafficking. It stars Donald Sutherland and Mira Sorvino.

My wife loves the Lifetime Channel movies. Sometimes I start watching one of them with her and get caught up in the powerful nature of some of the subject matter.
