Best software to rip and burn backup audio CDs?

What's the best freeware to rip and burn 1:1 copy of audio CDs? I'm looking for the CD equivalent of DVDFab Decrypter, PCGEdit and ImgBurn. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You can use Nero or Roxio... just say Copy CD.

If you want to rip as MP3, MusicMatch Jukebox is a great one.

Is Nero good for copy protected CDs or I need something else to rip those?

It works fine. Says "CD is copyrighted" and goes ahead and copies anyway

Will the sound quality be identical to the original if you do a 1:1 copy?

No need to rip, just copy. And yes it's the same. You can't tell it is a copy without looking
