If you all like Japanese food and you have some Tonkatsu (breaded deep fried veal or pork) left over, this is a great recipe:
1/3 yellow onion sliced thin
1 carrot sliced thin
2 eggs - mix as though you are going to scramble
1 piece of tonkatsu cut to bite-sized pieces
Memmi sauce
water
cooked rice
In a small frying pan, put everything but the rice in. Mix Memmi and water in a 1 part memmi and 3 parts water ratio and pour into pan. Cover and let simmer over low heat until egg is cooked.
As long as we are doing recipes:
I thought a would share a summer favorite with JELL-O
I found this on a box of JELL-O about 20 years ago and it is a great one.
For small mold take 1 small box any flavor JELL-O, pour the box of powder jell-o in a large mixing blow. (Stainless steel bows always work best for any kind of jell-o.)
Add One cup of boiling water to Dry JELL-O mix until completely dissolved.
Once JELL-O is completely dissolved then add 1 Pint (2 cups) of vanilla ice cream.
“DO not use frozen yogurt or frozen custard they do not have the same consistency.”
Hagen Das Ice creams seems to work the best.
Mix Ice cream with jell-o well it will get thick and hard to blend as the hot jell-o cools but it will.
Pour immediately into favorite JELL-O, mold.
Mold sets with in 15 minutes! It’s fast and easy and very good.
Garnish with favorite fruits.
Note: if you use Pineapple Jell-o add one cup of shredded coconut and garnish with pineapple slices or chunks. Tastes like a Pina colada.
I have had best results with:

Strawberry banana

Seeing as I will use recipes once in a while but I am not one for having my own, I thought I would post these links. I am a throw what you have in soup or stew kind of a guy.
