I must disagree on the ice cream thing. Baskin Robbins is the best. Daquari Ice with fresh strawberries, rum, & limeaid. Yummy!
Who are we?

Baskin Robbins does have great ice cream how ever it doesnt have the same consistancy that hagen Das does that was the whole point of which one will work in the JELL-O mold. LOL (gives the jello a firmer mold hold) LOLComment

Gotcha P_A I wa thinking of drinking, silly me! lol
Not much on Jello. I know BR ice cream molds well by itself but never tried it in something like your talking about.

I'm hoping I will run in to some oyster stew fans here and get lucky and find a recipe I lost. All I can say is this wasn't your typical oyster stew recipe or should I say potato soup with oysters in it which are 98% of the recipes given on google. All I can remember is it had Worcestershire sauce and cool whip in it,I know it's not much to go on but I have to try to find it this was the best tasting oyster stew I ever had
ThanksComment

Don't know if this is the one your looking for but maybe it might work.
Ingredients:
1 8oz can Oysters in juice
3/4 cup Whipping cream plus juice from oysters and water to make 2 cups liquid (it needs to look like the consistency of milk)
1/2 stick butter
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions:
In a pot over medium heat melt butter, add seasonings, add liquids and bring to a simmer. Lower heat and add oysters, do not boil oysters they will get rubbery when overcooked. It is ready to eat when the oysters are warmed through. Season to taste
I think mom added extra Worcestershire. Have you searched for oyster bisque recipes? That might work.

Ok not to get off the recipe subject, I was just pointed to this thread.
I am a 25 year old nursing student, hoping one day to go back to become a doctor. I work @ the hospital, and have seen and heard many interesting things. I got my screen name, becasue I am a decendent from a native american tribe, although I am not recognized. I am married with two children. I enjoy photography, the computer to be more specific the net, fixing up my 2000 cougar for a show car. And in the summer I enjoy surf fishing, swimming(no longer in the ocean) and jumping on the trampoline with my kids.Last edited by IndianPrincess; 10 May 2006, 03:53 AM.Comment

Sorry IndianPrincess, though recipes are still welcome I got my Indians mixed up. I too have indian blood in me. America won us in the Spanish American War they call us Puerto Ricans, some of us call ourselves "Boricua". All of us are American, though lately I have had some people yell obscenities at me as they lump all "Hispanics" together. I just swear back in German. I learned all the choice words in school, that throws them for a loop. I attended a Pow Wow in Rhode Island and when I walked up a young boy asked me with excitement, "What tribe are you from?", I sure felt accepted there.Comment

I must say that I have more german in me than Indian, although I tan very easily in the summer and I don't have the dark hair. I too went to a pow wow here in Delaware and although I have not had the same quesion asked did notice that some of the people participating looked more english than indian.Comment

In case you need some help with the choice Spanish word let me know and I will respond privately. Can't let the general population in on the secrets!!Comment

Took 3 yrs of Spanish in high school. First day the teacher said, "these are all the bad words in Spanish. Learn them properly now. I never want to hear them again!"
I'm Pequot Indian, French-Canadian, and German. I tan without even going outside! But I have never been asked my tribe. People only see the French.
@toomany, first Spanish phrase I ever learned was "pica mi nariz, por favor."Comment

Who are we, a question for the ages? Did we evolve from the primitive state that some think? Could we be the left over mutant waste from some horribly gone wrong experiment by a long extinct alien race? Are we the thirteenth planet? Yep a question for the ages?
