I'm an exhaust fume of the corporate machine with a 'buy and strip' mentality.
Worked for a corporation for 20 years and got sh*t-canned (just when I was starting to think I 'was' the sh*t or something ) due to corporate re-structuring and downsizing! I've had to start all over again
But, atleast I have my children and grandchildren.
And I try to golf, and love all things 'Computer and DVD'.

"Les, make sure you spend time with your family, cos when you're old and grey and toothless, it won't be (name of very prominent firm) who's there to feed and change you - no company gives a damn after you leaves, only your family".
I'll never forget the guy - he taught me how to get off the stupid corporate ladder (which I did 6 years ago, thank god). I now work for myself and tell people to "search the forums!" or "read the golden rules of burning!"
I also work for myself I do Lawn care in the summer and I also strip and wax floors for Car Dealerships and other companies and this I do all year round I also hunt, fish and play in a summer softball league

It's nice being your own boss you can give yourself one hell of a pay raiseThe best part is the freedom you don't have some one always peeking over your shoulder all the time
I'm retired and don't anything and it makes my wife mad I spent 37+ years working in a shipyard for Uncle Sam. 10 years on the ships with the tools and over 27 off . I was an Mechanical Ships System Inspector and then worked in 2 departments of Production Facilitating(Planning and Estimating and then overseeing work to assure it met production schedules and identifying bottlenecks and deficiencies) My last 10+ years was as a Quality Assurance Specialist at a facility where I also ran a small LAN with about 50 people where we went from Windows for Workgroups to Novell 3.1 then to Windows NT and finally to Windows 2000.
@paglamon - Your profession hits home, I had cataract surgery on both eyes and have the lens implants in both eyes. My hats off to the guy who invented the implants and recently passed away.
Hobbies over the years - cars, had a '64 Plymouth 426 C.I. 425 HP that I wish I still had today. Bikes - had a '49 Harley panhead that I still wish I had today also. I been playing with computers for over 20 years, ran a C-64 BBS in the early '80's that I guess you could call a warez site, message boards and up/downloads. I went from 7 1541's to a 20MB Xetec HDD that was simply great to store all the programs from all those 170K 5 1/4" floppies
Only got into messing with DVD's about a year and a half ago when I bought a standalone DVD recorder and wound up a moderator at another forum for a while and then also started backing up my DVD's on the PC.
Blutach answered my first post here about a DVD from HBO called "The Corner" and I've been here since.
I wish I could take credit for it but I used a gen to make this it was way to early to get the brain churning.Although I am not to bad at gimp or photoshop
