Well, the wedding was absolutely wonderful! It was beautiful and elegant! I was told by several different people they would pay very good money to have a wedding like mine. Amber and I were very flattered. The sad part is the wedding only lasted about 30 minutes. All that planning for only 30 minutes? It just doesn't seem like it would be worth it but, it most definitely was.
For the honeymoon we went to Galveston Texas for a couple of days. We ate at some very nice restaurants while we were there. "Joe's Crabshack" had some amazing seafood. Then we ate at another restaurant calling the "Rainforest Café". The inside was absolutely break taking. The entry way to the dining area was surround by 2 huge glass aquarium columns filled with all kids of tropical fish. It was breath taking. On top of the building outside, they had a "volcano" contraption that erupted every so often.
We went to a few bars the first two nights. That was "ok". There was nothing really fancy about those. I did however have my first alcoholic beverage in 2 1/2 years that second day we were there shopping. I think I got drunk off one "Dos Equis" beer.
On the third day, we left Galveston Island and took the ferry to the main land and then proceeded to "Lake Charles, Louisiana". Well, Amber used to live there and wanted to see some old friends. So we did that, then went shopping (again!). While we were there, we wanted to go gamble alittle bit at the "Las Vegas Style Resort/Casino". Well, we walked in and asked them how much their basic room was. They told me $168 a night. I said "Thanks, but no thanks!". Well, on the way out, Amber pretty much begged me cause it was out honeymoon so we could splurge. So I go back up there to rent the room and the lady says "It looks like y'all need the room, so I am going to try to get you a discount". So she sent us to talk to the "Casino Host". Make a long story short, the casino host found out it was our honeymoon and let us stay in a small suite free of charge and gave us 2 free buffets at the crab boil and seafood buffet. She also paid for all of our beer/drinks.
Well, after that was all over Amber and I decided that would be a good note to end the honeymoon on. So we drove home stopping a various cities to see old friends/shop.
Here a some pictures I have now. I will be getting some more later.
