There are so many sacrafices to remember on Memorial Day. The tragedies of terrorism, all of the soldiers serving and those we have lost in all of the wars, all the police, fireman, rescue, ect.. people who have given their lives to save others, the regular people who go out of their way to help or aid other people, all of the loved ones we have lost in one way or another. The list goes on and on.
It truly is a day to remember all who make and have made sacrafices big or small for the good of others!
Happy Memorial Day to All!

That is a great pic...on 9/11 I was living in Calgary right by the airport and it seemed so strange..so quiet...I was so used to planes flying over head to not hear them was...I can't describe it...plus there is alot of middle eastern people who live there, the train ride how was full of them normally, on that day it was empty...very sad on my sides. I think most of the world still thinks of that day on this day in particular

I guess I think more of the soldiers at Memorial Day, not that anything else is less important. I think it's because I experienced so many Memorial Days pre 9/11, before that terrible tragedy occured.
Loss is loss no matter how it happens and sadly it happens too much. There are many to be remembered, and what counts is that we all remember them and the sacrafices made by all.

No matter how you feel about war, for or against, you have to respect, admire, and stand behind the ones who have the ambition, drive, honor, and guts to do a job many of us couldn't or wouldn't do!
The quote "All gave some, some gave all" applies to 9/11, war, rescue workers, fireman, policeman, ect... and all. It's a great quote!

They are great pics PA. I was in DC recently, and went to the Vietnam Memorial. I am always moved when I visit it. Lost too many good friends in that war.
Great that we have Memorial Day to remember.
