I dont use mine all the time so for the times I have used it I have had no issues with it. Eventually I will take the time to transpher my yahoo list over to my Gmail just have not taken the time to do that as of yet.

get the following error on 2 XP Pro SP2 2 boxes running OutLook Express. I reset the router and Surfboard cable modem and even let google auto config do it, after checking all the settings I did manually. Timeout I have set to 2 minutes. Must be the server I'm going to I guess. All 4 of my other pop3 accounts work....AAAHHHHHHH

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'XXXXXXXXXX@gmail.com', Server: 'pop.gmail.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

I couldn't get that auto config thing to work to save my life. I have Outlook Express configured myself.

On the server tab I have:

                Pop3: pop.gmail.com
                smtp: smpt.gmail.com
                account: user@gmail.com
                Password: *********
                Check-marked "Remember Password"
UNcheck "Log on using Secure Password Authentication"
CHECK Outgoing "My Server requires authentication", Settings use same as incomimg.

                Advanced Tab:
                SMTP: 465
                POP3: 995

                Checkmark both "Secure Connection (SSL)"
                All other checkboxes are unchecked.

                Give this a try.

                Regards,
                Cam

Exactly what I did manually and also what the auto config did but then I changed them back manually to the same thing. Other posts on google groups about trouble with pop3 also.

                  Thanks
