    Would you return it?

I ordered half a dozen new but old dvd's from Amazon.ca & received them yesterday. One of the dvd's my wife noticed rattled like there was something loose inside. We opened it up & the disc was loose inside, where it holds the disc was busted. I checked the disc out through Dvd Decrypter in file mode & it completed successfully. I haven't played it yet but I figure if Dvd Decrypter says it is okay that's good enough for now until I watch it. As I save all my discs in dvd cases, all I need to do is take the cover & wrap it around another case. Here's my ?, would you return it? All it takes is the cost of a dvd case but I paid for a complete product.

    Does it get returned????

I have received discs like that before, too. They were always ok, & I never returned them. I always figured the UPS driver kicked the box too many times

I might be tempted to call & complain; seems these days a company is all too eager to give the unsatisfied customer a "freebie" of some sort for the next purchase!

When I bought the 2 disc version of The Day After Tomorrow from Best Buy, the first disc holder was broken, and I feared the disc was scratched, so I took it back to the store, asked if I could excahange it and they asked me to grab a good one off the shelf, which I did.

this is a common thing. it's happened to me many times too. forget about returning it, a waste of time IMO. as long as the disc is good and perfectly rippable - nothin to worry about.

I thank you for your responses & here's what I decided to do after reading them. Although the thought entered my mind based on principal I was 99.9% not returning it after I checked it. I did however go on the scenic route through their website to finally get to an e-mail form to let them know. In case anybody is interested & obviously some of these aren't just for me, here are the new oldies. Wildcats (the culprit), Cat Ballou, RePossessed, Loose Cannons, Just One Of The Guys & Collision Course. The Cheyenne Social Club comes out in August on dvd.

                        (Sorry for late response)
