question regarding threads.?

was just wondering when i post in threads do they have to run for a certain time before i delete them and is reason for compulsary? i usually put somthing like question answered i usually delete them after a few days with no replies or when they have run their course and if i dont delete them will admin delete them after a while any thoughts on this?

If useful knowledge was exchanged, leave the thread, someone else might read it and learn from it. You waste all the effort of members trying to help
by deleting their posts. Let Admin worry about server space that's his job.

There is no reason to delete them, especially if you get a question answered, that helps other people who have the same or similar problems.
