I enjoy Columbo and Magnum P.I. as well. The A-Team and Chips is onther two I enjoy. There are so many, it's hard to remember all the titles at once. Murdock in The A-Team makes me laugh. He cracks me up. I remember when he was hitchhiking on a runway. As if a plane would land again to pick him up. Lol.

Even though Laurel & Hardy are old on the screen, they have to be the funniest on screen. They are to me. I love watching those two. With other comedies, the humour can wear off. With Laurel & Hardy, the humour always lives on the same as I first saw it. Do you know Stan Laurel taught Jerry Lewis all he knew? I must admit, Jerry Lewis annoys me, though. There's something about Jerry Lewis that is annoying. I hate it when Jerry Lewis pulls those faces and talks in those strange voices.

By the way, have you seen the British comedy Only Fools & Horses? I heard it's unseen in most countries. Some nationalities haven't even heard of it.

                      Darren.

i've always hated jerry lewis. did you also know stan laurel was the brains behind most of the earlier L&H shorts? a very brilliant man - not to eclipse oliver though. he was brilliant in his own right too. i wish i could perfect the tie waving technique

I forgot to say, I can't say what my favourite Laurel & Hardy film is because they did so many good and funny ones.

Here is some animation from Laurel & Hardy: Brats. This scene cracks me up when Hardy stepped on the rollerskate and he fell down the stairs on his arse with his legs stuck up in the air. We can see he was holding dummy legs up but that makes it more funny.

I did hear Stan Laurel was the brains with the Laurel & Hardy films. My dad told me that.

I spoke to somebody in Yahoo Chat a few years ago and he said he booked himself into a New York hotel and one evening, he walked through a hallway and bumped into Stan Laurel. I can't remember what year it was, I know it was in the 60s.

Laurel & Hardy are always the kings of comedy but mostly Stan Laurel because he thought it all-up.

After this topic of them, I'm in the mood to watch them again.

                              Darren.

P.S. I've always found Charlie Chaplin as boring as a car park at my local pub. I also like Harold Lloyd and The Three Stooges but Laurel & Hardy are the BEST out of old-fashioned comedy.

I managed to get all the Laurel & Hardy films but they are expensive. They were transfered to colour except for the silent ones but I prefer to watch them all in black-and-white.
