    X-Box 360 & PS3

Just wondering. Even though the PS3 obviosuly sounds like an all-wanted games console, are others still interested in still using their X-Box 360 and still interested in buying games for it? I recently bought the X-Box 360 because I waited for the price to drop right down and I'm going to do the same with the PS3. Things don't take that long to drop in price and in my opinion, the wait is worth it when it means saving a lot of money.

I heard the X-Box 360 might have less sales and less game sales because of the PS3 doing so madly-great where not so many games will be available for the X-Box 360. What does anyone else think on that?

    Darren.

I know what you mean. I was only asking about the PS3 and the X-Box 360. There will be less PS3 games at the moment because the console has only just come out in the US.

I do see a lot of Nintendo games.

Every time a new system comes out, it's the same discussions all over again. "System X is better because it has hyperactive hyper drive" "System Y is better because it has better this and that" etc. etc. and the battle wages on.

This debate hinges on one fact. You only want/can only afford one system. If you can afford all, more power to you. With the exception of PS3, the console prices are not that expensive in relation to the prices of the games. You can usually get a console for about the price of 5 new releases or less, give or take. So if you can only afford one, then the debate forges on.
But in the end, only one thing matters. What platform are the games YOU MOST WANT TO PLAY available on? Each system has it's "showcase" games that are exclusive to that system. These are the games that should be considered in determining where your purchasing dollars should go. If you buy a Ferrari because it has a better 0-60 time than a Hummer, but you love off-roading, and hate racing, then you've made a poor purchase.

Even though I'm pleased with my X-Box 360, I can't understand why the games are still so expensive. I've seen some games for £55.00. That is about $110.00 US. The X-Box games are cheaper but I'm having trouble finding the X-Box web page that has the patches. I can't download them with my console yet because I have to get a router. I'm looking forward to GTA 4 and GTA: VCS. I'm sure Rockstar will make GTA: SAS.

I will get the PS3 in time but not for a long time because I want the price to drop right down. I can't remember if I mentioned that in here.

I cant say that I remember that one but I do remember this one. And YES I still have it with over 30 games and they all still work!

When I was my sons age that was pretty much the best system sold. I remember my mother paying over $300.00 for it and the games went from $45.00 to $75.00 which back then was a lot of money much more then the new PS2 games and system.

My son tells me it sucks yet he will spend hours playing games on it with me every once in a while. Only he has a hard time trying to beat my high scores on those. I suck with all of the PS2 games though.

I guess I am getting old.

and since we still have this one no need for PS3

Well to chime in a little late, I had a 360 the day it launched ( no I didn't camp in a lineup ) and I have loved it every step of the way. The PS3 definately looks intriguing, but there are very few exclusive titles for it anymore...and no available consoles for while. They lost the majority of their flagship titles. Grand Theft Auto, Assasins Creed, Final FantasyXI ( maybe more ?? )
The ones that are left are seriously delayed until next year. Which in my opinion is fine anyway ( hooray for a price drop!! )
Xbox is also heavy into First Person shooters, third person shooter/action. So if that is your thing, Microsoft is the way to go. Also, XboxLive is golden. I hope the Sony Online plans are improved upon.

If you like a heavy single player action, or a deep RPG, PS3 may be the route. Most Japanese RPG's and Sony's first party action games are pretty lengthy. I bought Gears of War a few weeks ago, and beat the single player campaign in 7 hours Thank goodness for online multiplayer.

Also, this is for Dazuk Xbox360 Backward Compatibility

Burn it to disc and throw it in the drive.
