Nice to see others from my field here...

Monday thru Friday I'm a financial advisor with LPL.

2 days a month and 2 weeks a year I revert back to my former profession as a USNR dentist.

I think if you do anything right you can make alot of money at it...my wife works for a dentists with a million dollar plus a year practice. The sad part is she won't share the dough with anyone else who works there.

              That's exactly what I'm saying...

Dentists make decent money, but get eaten alive by insurance, material costs, staffing, etc. If you clear $150 /hr, you're doing well.

A financial advisor earns ongoing commissions/trails on their client's investments. Generally 1% or more of total client funds. You do the math and tell me which you'd prefer based upon a 1% commission... (Approx $114 Million in client funds)

When we met, I was shocked to find out how much my husband made as an advisor. When he passed on in 05', I left the dental field, took over his business and much of his existing client base.
