What I find annoying is when I phone a company and after waiting in a queuing system for ages, when I'm next in line, I hear people in the background where I'm being answered and the person at the other end presses the wrong key at the switchboard and cuts me off and I have to wait again. I remember a time when I phoned my telephone company years ago and that happened and not only did I have to phone again and spend more money on the phone, they got the money for the call.
Last year in November, I noticed a problem with my credit card bill. I phoned my credit card company and a lady on the phone started giving me a run-down on all my purchases since 2004. I told her three times in a polite way to stop because that purchase list wouldn't solve the problem and I would have been on the phone for hours listening to that unwanted information. I made over 200 payments since I got my credit card.
Another one is when I phone a company and I spend about two minutes going through the options and when I reach the one that I need, I get a message saying, "Sorry, I offices are currantly closed." I wonder why they can't tell us that right at the beginning to save us wasting a couple of minutes in the options system. Depending on the company, they can have a 24-hour line but surely the closed message would appear at an earlier part of any options as we get to a department that closes at some point. This can be so annoying when you have to go through about 12 departments and get the closed message.
