Trying to find a good portable media player

Okay, I am looking for some advice from my music inclined friends. I am looking into a media player. I like the ipod touch, but hate itunes the way it splits compiled albums. Anyone have any ideas? I like the way the computer has the windows media library done.

How does it split compiled albums? By artist? Can't you tag compiled albums in a different way?

Why don't you try lumia.. a microsoft phone. And this would seem you are running a windows on your phone
