problems with Bitsetter program

I've tried to use the Bitsetter program to force my DRV+RW to look like a DVD-ROM on a Philips DVDRW228 drive so I can play it on my old dvd player (that won't play DVD+RWs), but it gives me error messages when I try to use it to check the media on the drive.

I've downloaded the latest copy from:

Anyone had any similar problems with this program ???
