i can't burn the files that i autored with ifo edit plz help

k here my problem i have autored a dvd with sub's with ifoedit
but now i can't burn the files when they are standing in map VIDEO_TS.
what can be the problem did i forget something to do ?
if i burn the files in a empty map than it's no problem but when i do that it's not possible to play on my stand alone player.
I hope that some of u can help to fix the problem so i can put the files in a VIDEO_TS folder so i can burn my autored dvd.
