authoring process chops off screen edges

does anyone know how to keep all or most of the screen viewable when going through the entire encoding/authoring process? i have a video with subtitles that are very difficult to read on the tv (original video is great). using tmpgenc plus 2.5 and tempgenc dvd author 1.5

Im not getting that problem when authoring with TMPGEnc DVD Author, it must be related to the TMPGEnc Plus side of it.
