How do I encode and burn a DVL file?

I have recently downloaded a DVL movie which I've tried encoding on both tmpgenc and nero to no avail. Where am I going wrong? I can view it directly from my pc no probs but to put it onto DVD it won't wash. After I encode them with tmpgenc the video and audio separate into wav and mp2 files but won't burn.
Any ideas welcome. Thanks alot Clive

    Isn't "DVL" a piracy group?
