Nero Error: Drive being Used by another application

Nero was working fine until I had to replace my DVD Burner (Sony DRU510A). After installing the new Drive and then using Nero Ultra 6.0 (Video Mode) to burn, it displays a message:

"Drive being used by another application"

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

this seems to happen a bit. I have a PIONEER 105 and it does it also. Tends to do it though when I try different media. Don't know why it does it mate. Sorry!

Voila! Figured it out!

I noticed a post re problems with Nero 6.0.0. so I updated to 6.0.0.19 and no longer get the message.

Now I have to figure out why my burned DVD was not recognized by my DVD player. It will also not play with DirectDVD but I can play the files.

Updating the software helped to the extent it seemed to write all the files but failed when "closing" the DVD. Oh well I'll stick to RecordNow DX.
