Invalid IFO, the reason is: unknown

'Invalid IFO, the reason is: unknown'
I get this error message for every DVD I try to open in shrink and most IFO files I've previously ripped.
The thing is I've been using it fine up untill now. I've ripped and reauthored several of my DVD's. But now I can't open any DVD.
    Can someone explain this?
    I'm gonna start crying.
    Oh
I have a NEC 1300a external on firewire (used to rip and burn) on w2k
    - I installed forceASPI
    - opending the DVD in VLC for a bit then opening in shrink
    to no avail

    Try the following:

Use DVD Decrypter to "rip" the DVD to your hard drive in "File" mode - and from the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "All files" (NOT "movie files").

Then use DVD Shrink to "Open files" (NOT "Open Disk") - and select "VIDEO_TS.IFO"
