I need help with something??

My grandfather burns dvd's to dvd+r and we can play them on the home dvd player and on his computer witch has the dvd burner in it, but i cannot play them on my laptop. I was wondering if i could just download something to make my cd drive reconize them. I am currently useing WinDVD to watch my dvd's on my laptop.

Chances are that your laptop's DVD-ROM (player) only recognizes DVD-Rs (and not DVD+Rs)...
