Help needed with converting DVD to VCD!

Hi everyone.

I'm new to this stuff, and I have been having trouble in converting a DVD to a VCD. See, I have several DVDs, but my laptop can only play VCDs....so I want to convert, or whatever, my DVDs into VCDs or some other common video filo like WMV or MPG...

Could somebody plz give me tips on how to do this?...
