    burn from a network laptop

    hi

I was wondering if someone tried to burn on a computer a dvd( shrinked files) that are located on another computer (in my case my laptop) , I'm asking this because I would like to rip dvd's on my laptop's to, so when i go to a friend or so, i can directly rip a dvd without having to borow it. But If have to transfert the file from my laptop to my desktop, it takes twice the time, so direct burn would be great, moreover I could shrink 2 dvd's simultanously, what means a doubling of my evening copynig capacity!

by the way I have a 100Mbit 3com switch and 100Mbit network cards, witch that theoriticaly, rates transfers should be enough or am I wrong?

    thx
