long burn with nero

may i first say thanks for the help i have had with this forum.
when burning with nero using 4x write speed to write a dvd nero estimates how long it will take to complete, usually this is around 14 minutes but always it takes at least double the time normally around 30 minutes, I have used nero cd-dvd speed to check that they are 4x and they are, is this normal for nero or is somthing wrong with my settings?

If you are getting an estimated burn time of 30 minutes with Nero at 4x, this appears to be fairly normal. Do you have "Verify" checked? This will of course add to the overall time it takes to complete the burning process.

nero is estimating approx 14 minutes, and no verrify is not checked.

The "Estimated" time will never be the same as the "Actual" time.
