    shrink double disc help

Im fairly used to using shrink to back up my dvd's but have come accross a problem that i cant find an answer for anywhere

I have a DVD movie that comes on one disc but with data on two sides so half way through watching the film an icon pops up on screen asing you to flip the disc and then watch the other side the movie is only of an average length so i know that movie only should fit on a disc with minimum compression by shrink.

Does any one have any ideas how i can back this disc up or why it was created this way in the first place ?

any help would be appreciated . Thanks
