Optimal Cluster Size For Harddrive ??

I was wondering if there is an optimal (or preferred) cluster size people format their drivers to when working with ripping backups.

Im gonna format a 80GB drive with NTFS as a second drive. The main drive will be running Windows XP-Pro.

Any suggests with reason behind them would be appreciated, thanks.

The clustersize is the smallest filesize the HD uses. When ripping a DVD you do not have many files and they are all bigger then the clustersize. so allmost no waste of HDspace. when you have a clusresize of 4k and 1000 files of 1k your lost is 4k-1k on each file = 3kx 1000= 3M
with a clustersize of 8k you lose 7kx 1000= 7M and so on. When you only use it for big files use the biggest size as possible.
