DVD Reading & Encoding

Hi,

I have an LG GCC 4520B Combo drive (16x DVD)
and a Pioneer DVR-108.
While encoding movies with DVD Shrink 3.2, I noticed that the encoding is faster with Pioneer and both drives have the same reading speed.

Is there a way to make LG encode at a faster rate?

In Device Manager, Primary & Secondary IDE Channels, there are only 4 tabs: General, Driver, Details & Resources but not Advanced Settings.

Is there a way to fix this problem?
