Need Help! cannot burn dvd+r

hi
i have a hewlett packard compuater and it came with a samsung sv1203n dvd burner. that dirve used to read dvds and burn but for some reason it doesn't now. i used Shrink and backed up a movie but nero couldnt recognize the dvd+r . if anyone could help me fix the problem i would be extremmely grateful.

Try a ReWritable.
Have you had any success with the HP?

i tried a rewritable, didn't work. and HP cannot help me unless I get a new warranty. my drive just doesn't recognize dvds for some reason. it used to be fine.

Try running a DVD/CD cleaning disc on your burner. Maxell makes one that retails for approximately $10US...
