do all the usual routine in gk.
when you get to save & encode save the avs file and now LEAVE gk, open vd and load your avs file.
next select xvid from your compression list.
sorry, if i said gk DOES handle xvid. i meant you can set all your parameters from within gk and do the final part in vd.
