Hello Everyone.
First of all let me point out that I went through all the online guides to DivX AC3.
I have an AMD Thunderbird 1200mhz processor, 640MB RAM, a Soundblaster Extigy Soundcard and a DTT3500 digi ampli. Let me start saying that, thanks to the info on this board I managed to get AC3 out of DVDs, through the SPDIF connection.
I am also able to get AC3 audio out of DivX using either PowerDivX or BSPlayer, but I have problems with the video.
In fact, as soon as I hit the play button the audio starts playing properly but the video starts skipping....just like if I hit the FFW button! The consequence is that I get perfect AC3 audio (the DD light goes on in my ampli) but cannot watch movies!
I thought is was a problem of CD drive speeds and I copied the files in my HD. Unfortunately, the problem is still there.
Is there a kind person on this wonderful board willing to lend a helping hand? I am getting annoyed....everything is fine (from codecs to setups)....but it still does not work!!
Please let me know. I think this can be useful for everyone too!
Kind regards,
Erative
