    Resizing a DIVX 5 AVi

I'd appreciate any suggestions on the best way to resize a DiVX5 avi...that I created in VirtualDub.

It's the standard 720x576 of the MiniDV source that I created the DiVX from.

The problem is that if I output the file using the TV-OUT on my ATI Radeon 8500 graphics card there are black borders down the side of the video. I have tried changing output dimension settings on my card but they don't make much difference.

So am I using the wrong resolution for 4:3 PAL output? and if so is there an easy way to resize the AVI?

    Thanks

To use cropping in virtualdub, you need to add a null transform filter, and add cropping values to that.
