Size of my file

I follow this guide (http://www.atlandide.net/~uncasms/en/index.php) and all my movies do not come out to 700 megs or 1400 megs they always come out to be like 614 or like 1200 instead of 1400. Is there a way of making it like 700megs exactly.

A few things you can take into consideration:
1. If not already done, try increasing the bitrate and see whether the filesize becomes larger, or
2. The particular movie has already reached maximum quality and any increase in bitrate usually does not result in any increase in filesize.

are you sure you have divx5 installed?
sounds like gk uses divx4 routines.

reinstall divx5


and what about the audio stream?
is it part of your undersized file already?


i always reach the desired filesize except for those very few titles, when you deal with a short movie and lots of dark scenesm which comes out undersized due to a complete satureated codec.

for a 1cd rip, this is, however, unlikely!
