Problems with Episode 2

Hello,

I ripped Episode 2 with Smartripper ("every VOB-file" option). Then I tried to encode with XMPEG 4.31 (open IFO, angle 0,german sound). When starting preview (play mode) to check quality of ripped source movie I noticed after the Lucasfilm logo when starting with "a long time ago..." picture errors like macro blocks. Then whole encoding stops and XMPEG terminates.
I hope someone can help me with some information how to fix this problem.

It sounds like you've set things up properly to deal with the multi-angle nature of the beginning of the movie (starts with the scrolling introduction and ends with the large silver craft reappearing from the clouds).

Perhaps the XMPEG preview mode is problematic. Simply start the conversion process in XMPEG (rather than preview) and see if it gets past the first 2:40-3:00...
