How do I designate a plain file to open with windows media?

i used MP4SP which basically uses vdub except it converts my divx into the rite size and stuff for my Mp4 player. when its done encoding its a plain file instead of saying movie or video clip it says file and its icon is a page with a window in it.

i want to make it open with windows media automatically. how do i do it?

Just add an extender of .AVI to the filename.

(If you do as UncasMS suggests, any and all files with no extender, whether videos or not, automatically try to start and play under Windows Media Player...)
